6 & 7 March 2012
In the evening at around 11pm, Changi Airport Terminal 1, this is the day where we said farewell to our families to go Chengdu, China for our Overseas Immersion Programme for 5 weeks long. Our flight takes off at 2am in the morning, all went well with the check-in at the immigration and we arrived and waited for our flight at the departure hall. Then we heard an announcement saying about a delay with our flight, this is usually normal with cheap airlines but not today! Our flight is different than the usual, not only did we waited for 3 hours long but the airplane was not able to take off. To add in more bad news, we were rescheduled to a flight at 10pm at night, this means we have 13 hours of free time.
Furthermore, this made me rather crossed so as the others on the same flight. I had never experienced such an appalling service in my life! To make up for this cause, the flight attendant booked for us a free stay in Orchard Hotel with all meals paid for before our next flight. We were then brought to the hotel at about 7am and all of us were well rested staying there from 8am to 8pm till the shuttle bus arrived to send us back to the airport. The best part is that we can claim S$300 after our trip due to their faults and inconvenience!! Once at the airport again, we managed to fly to Chengdu at approximately 4 hours journey and this is where the fun begins!!!
